Compatibility

Which cars are compatible.

GoDrive CarBox works with most cars. It reads data through the OBD-II port, which in the European Union (as EOBD) has been mandatory on new petrol cars since 2001 and on diesel cars since 2004, so almost every car in today’s fleets has one.

In short

• Petrol cars

  Compatible, from 2001 onwards (EOBD standard).

• Diesel cars

  Compatible, from 2004 onwards (EOBD standard).

• Light vans

  Compatible, under the same rules as cars.

• Electric cars

  Not compatible.

• Trucks

  Not compatible. They usually use a different diagnostic standard.

• Hybrids

  We check on request, depending on the model.

Why make and model matter

GoDrive compares each car with cars of the same make and model. The more similar cars there are on the platform, the more precise the model’s “normal” profile. For models common in Romanian fleets, this profile forms quickly.
